The Irish Memory Orchestra is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a concert in the Studio at the National Concert Hall on August 12 at 8.30pm

When pondering on the number of splendid orchestras this country has to offer, one might – rather ironically – forget to include the Irish Memory Orchestra, an ensemble of brilliant musicians that embraces blind and visually impaired players in its ranks. The group prides itself on being “the only group of its kind in the western world that is 100 per cent free of sheet music when performing”.
